NRB Home Financing Scheme

At National Housing we always go out of our way and develop innovative ideas to give our clients a superlative service and satisfaction. This is how we maintain our status as one of the leading Financial Institute in Bangladesh: by fulfilling our clients’ desire. We have segmented our customers so that we can address the unique needs of each category of our clients. A segment of our customers are Non Resident Bangladeshi (NRB)!


We want to show all of our NRB customers that we care about them and they are very important for us. We have planned to offer facilities to the Non Resident Bangladeshis’ that they would be especially benefited by availing this privilege. In this regard, National Housing has designed a Special Home Loan scheme for NRB. We truly believe that the NRB customers will have an optimal attachment with National Housing because of the features of the new Scheme.


Preferential terms and conditions of the Proposed NRB Home Loan Scheme under the name and style of “NRB Home Financing Scheme” are furnished below:


01. NRB clients will receive special 50% discount on loan application and processing fee. (i.e. 0.50% of loan amount + 15% VAT)

02. NRB clients will receive 1.00% special discount on regular interest rate offered by National Housing. (At present special 8.75% rate of interest will be offered under the scheme).

03. Loan processing fee will be “Zero” for taking over Home Loan from any other Banks/FIs.

04. Availability of loan amount:

- 75% of the purchase price for purchasing a flat for maximum 20 years repayment period.
- 75% of the total construction Cost for Construction of House in own land for maximum 20 years repayment period.
- 60% of the purchase price for purchasing a Plot for maximum 12 years repayment period.


Note: Loan period should not exceed the borrowers age limit of 65 years. Loan amount will be fixed depending on the serviceability of the loan. It will be assessed on the basis of remittance from abroad through formal channels and local income of the clients supported by valid documentary evidence for the last one year.


05.  Applicant may apply directly to our branches around the country through filling printed application form available (Free of charges) at our branches or he/she may download application form from our website ( and e-mail it to:

06.  A local representative of the client needs to be engaged as his/her attorney through Foreign Power as per our prescribed format in respect of the loan and the property for execution of loan documents as well as servicing the monthly installment.

07.  Security of the loan will be the property against which the loan to be extended as per usual practice.

08. Monthly installments will be paid through post dated cheques submitted to National Housing in advance drawn on any commercial banks in the City of Dhaka, Chittagong, Bogra and Rangpur.
